Installing the VACS Software for DCX.

System Requirements: A PC running Windows XP, 95, 98, Windows NT or Windows 2000.

Installing VACS software -

1. First, save your work and close other running programs.

2. If you are running Windows NT or Windows 2000 log in as the administrator.

3. Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to start the installation.

Running the software after installation: After installing the software find the  VACS for DCX icon on the desktop and double-click it to start the VACS program. Press the "Work Offline" button, then click OK. You can also start VACS by clicking on the Desktop Start button, select Programs, and click on VACS for DCX. Help on using the controls is available inside the program by clicking Info on the menu. Give special attention to the Vertical and Horizontal Scroll controls.

Selecting rack configurations: In offline mode the VACS program allows you to select from four different mixer configurations.  The default selection, DCX Event 40, is recommended for first time users. Other configurations are DCX Cabaret, Showtime, and Event 60.  The VACS program maintains control settings in several mix files which are loaded when the program starts. When selecting a mixer configuration that is different from the last time the program was run, hold down the Shift key until the mixer controls are displayed.  This will allow VACS to start with a fresh control surface.

Removing the software: - To remove the software open the Add/Remove Programs folder by clicking the Start button, Settings, Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon and select VACS Client for DCX, then click Add/Remove.
