| System Requirements: A PC running
Windows XP, 95, 98, Windows NT or Windows 2000. Installing
VACS software -
1. First, save your work and close other running
programs.
2. If you are running Windows NT or Windows 2000 log
in as the administrator.
3. Locate the downloaded file and double-click it to
start the installation.
Running the software after installation:
After installing the software find the VACS
for DCX icon on the desktop and double-click it to start the VACS program. Press the
"Work Offline" button, then click OK. You can also start VACS by clicking on the
Desktop Start button, select Programs, and click on VACS for DCX. Help on using the
controls is available inside the program by clicking Info on the menu. Give special
attention to the Vertical and Horizontal Scroll controls.
Selecting rack configurations: In
offline mode the VACS program allows you to select from four different mixer
configurations. The default selection, DCX Event 40, is recommended for
first time users. Other configurations are DCX Cabaret, Showtime, and Event 60. The VACS
program maintains control settings in several mix files which
are loaded when the program starts. When selecting a mixer
configuration that is different from the last time the program was run, hold down the
Shift key until the mixer controls are displayed. This will allow VACS to start with
a fresh control surface.
Removing the software: - To remove the
software open the Add/Remove Programs folder by clicking the Start button, Settings,
Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon and select VACS Client for DCX,
then click Add/Remove. |
