April 2003 - The String Cheese Incident tour is underway and the reports are glowing. Ramtech finished two 12 Stereo Faders Boxes (just in time for the tour), and they are placed in front of the two 20" LCD Displays. Jon-O is very excited about having 24 Stereo Faders, 12 are patched into various pairs of Input Channels, and the other 12 are patched into the 8 Subgroups/Master/Effects. The Cheese will be doing their fourth show on the tour today (April 19'th).

February 2003 - Wireless is the way to go!  With this setup you CAN control the V-DOSC/XTA, the DCX Rack, and the 'Smart' software (with a portable mic that plugs into the Laptops sound card), all at the same time from a Wireless Laptop, in a large venue.

January 2003 - The String Cheese Incident at the Berkeley Community Theater was one of the best sounding New Years Eve shows I have ever been to. See the great photos.

November 2002 - A DCX Showtime mixed the November 17'th Cal vs Standford game and on October 27'th mixed the Stanford game on ESPN/ABC handling the TV feed for the National Anthem. See the DCX Showtime at the Stanford game and then take a peek at Jim Gamble behind the scenes..

February 2002: A new Touchscreen system is being road tested by http://www.ramtech.net/, this new control surface has hard faders and a touch screen giving you more options in the setup of the DCX.

August 2001: CorTek Software VACS and DCX Event 40 (monitors) and DCX Event 60 (FOH) are on tour with Keith Urban from August - October 2001.  Check out the tour schedule at the keithurban.net webiste.

"Brooks and Dunn"  report:  "They used the DCX Channel Direct Outputs, to record 24 tracks to hard disk on the last two shows, and they are mixing down those two shows in the studio this week, and comparing those tracks against some tracks that they had previously recorded, to listen for any difference the DCX makes in the sound quality." - we already know the answer: the DCX is MUCH BETTER SOUNDING!!

March 2001: CorTek Software VACS and the Gamble DCX Event 60 mix an outdoor Jazz Show in a 2500 seat venue, the show was sold out.  The DCX Event 40 and Crest VX were setup to do both FOH and Monitors and they got a mix going on both consoles for the 32 piece orchestra.

After cueing back and forth between the mix on the DCX and the mix on the Crest they packed up the Crest and rolled it on out to the truck after finding out that the Crest VX sounded like s**t compared to the sound of the DCX.
(Photos of the Event are here)

March 2001:  NSCA Expo 2001- "I used a new sales approach at this show. Rambo had an ADAT with 8 tracks of his band going to everything, and I would say "Sit Down Bo Bo and pretend you are mixing a real show" and I would make THEM start mixing with a mouse first thing and explain how to do everything as we went along. So without realizing it, all of a sudden they were mixing with a mouse, before they had a chance to think about it. (Between Rambo and I, 100's of people got turned on to mixing with a Mouse)." - Jim Gamble

Dec 2000: CorTek Software VACS and the Gamble DCX Event 60 are on tour with Christina Aguilera.
